The Art of Tradition

At the end of the day or decade, its the memories that make the traditions warm, sparkly,glittery, comforting, merry and memorable.
So many warm,sparkly and merry memories associated with both the tree at Rockefellor center and the tree at Bryant park.

Merry Christmas

Merry is a very important middah to incorporate into ones personality, both on the spiritual hemisphere and the corporate perspectives on life.
It may be just as important as inner happiness and qualitative equilibrium.
And of course humility and world peace. yup its all about world peace.
I guess merriment, happiness, love and humility will bring about world peace.

At the end of the day what matters most is the traditional Christmas Tree, its the perfect tradition on so many different levels.
I purchased a crystal I heart NY ornament at Santa NY in Bryant Park.
I'm building my Christmas tree one sentimental ornament at a time.

I Heart MGA Entertainment

Some bright news for MGA Entertainment and the Bratz dolls .
See this WSJ piece , to help brighten the drippy dismal raindrop dripping day.
I like the sound of that reprieve , and didnt think parts of the original ruling were fair to say the least.
In fact I was concerned about the Bratz dolls contract issue and their brilliant manufacturer back in July of 2008 here.
MGA's new Moxie line is absolutely adorable.
I'll be purchasing the Moxie dolls for my nieces for Christmas.
(no reason to be celebrating hannukah this year, many reasons not too unfortunately)
MGA entertainment is a brilliant toy company I love the details on their different toy lines.

Macy's message in a window part two

In life its all about the dazzle and the merriment.
But most importantly, its the crystal decor that matters most aesthetically, aromatically and chandelier-ically speaking.

Macy's messages in the windows

I wholeheartedly agree with this sentiment.

Sundays In the Snow

Accomplishments for a very frosty but sparkly Sunday are as follows :

Watched the sun rise at the crack of dawn and it was Pink, it was ethereal !
I now understand the concept of vasikin even with a minyan.

The snow stayed on the trees throughout the day, I managed to photograph quite a bit of the sparkling snowy finery including but not limited to roses in ice !

Watched two of the greatest films of 2009, Confessions of a Shopahalic and The Proposal, other than What Happens in Vegas , Uptown Girls and I am Sam , these two extraordinary films are my favorite at this time.

Still managed to have patience for Desperate Housewives (the best show on earth at this time) and that Google special on CNBC "google visual" sounds like a facinating concept and Marrisa Meyers is one of my heroes.

Caught real snowflakes with my little nephew.

Organized my entire life and made one good correct decision that i'm still happy about.

I think.

I Heart Rudyard Kipling

"If" by Rudyard Kipling was one my favorite pieces of poetry when I was a kid. I always thought it was so profound on so many different levels. It still is, in so many different ways, every single day,even on the weekends. I love it, even though I'm a daughter.

"If "
"If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;
If you can dream — and not make dreams your master;

If you can think — and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;
If you can make one heap of all your winnings

And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on";
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,

Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run -
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And — which is more — you'll be a Man my son! "
Rudyard Kipling

And may we always find ways to understand and experience the true colors even if when its foggy.
Its all about the proper in depth perception . Its also about knowing the right locations for vivid viewing purposes.

Comfort Lighting

There is something so comforting about the Empire State Building in lights.
Its always been there for me, since forever, and in any kind of weather too.
I love when it gets all colorful for the holidays and special occasions.

Perfectly Gifted Giving

I thought so too.
At the end of the day its all about the giving, perfection and the gifted.
Gifted is only a gift if its useful,powerful and or glittery.

Chrysanthemums in the City

When blooming smartly, its all about the solid stone foundational planters . The versatile and well designed kind, that adjust easily climatically speaking.

Pink Chandeliers in the Park

Bryant Park is getting their holiday booths all ready for the best season on earth.
How often do you come across pink chandeliers in the park.
Life is so perfect and random like that.
I always did love the holiday booths at Bryant Park.

Morning Glory in The City

Life, like the proverbial Morning Glory (pictured above @ Bryant Park) is all about the climbing and the concentrated ambition, upwards, no matter how tangled it gets and even when the season insists on changing .

Living Logically In An Absolut World

I fell in love with Absolut's marketing on a billboard messages in the city.
Their marketing campaign this season is absolute brilliance in a bottle.

also * " o.g.k. " , ok, you're right, I'm wrong (except when I'm right) sorry !

* initials have been changed to protect the intellectual integrity, personal privacy and inner sensitivities of the parties involved.

Whats in a New Year

Why is happy the default adjective most often used in conjunction with New Year's wish exchanging.
Hope the 2009 New Year is everything you want it to be, and then some.
In a good way.
May the stars of success in your life,continue increasing, refract, twinkle, glitter and sparkle till eternity, like diamonds in the sky. Not rhinestones.
